Same-Day Flower Delivery Cambridge: What to Expect

Same-Day Flower Delivery in Cambridge: What to Expect

Same-day flower delivery in Cambridge works like this: order by 12pm on a weekday and your flowers are made that day in our Victoria Street shop and delivered across Cambridge for $15. You get an email when the order leaves. Hamilton is $20 on weekdays, rural addresses are $25 the next business day, and collection from the shop is free. Full details are on our delivery areas, costs and cut-off page.

Flower box ready for same-day delivery in Cambridge

Before 12pm

The cut-off exists because of the morning. Flowers arrive early, the senior florist conditions them, and orders are made in the order they come in. An order placed at 11am is on the bench by lunchtime. One placed at 2pm goes out the next day, unless you ring and we can fit it in, which we often can.

What happens to your order

We make it from that morning’s stock. If a flower in the photo is short that week we use the best alternative and keep the colours.
We handwrite the card.
You get an email when it is complete and either out for delivery or ready to collect.
The driver delivers across Cambridge, and to Hamilton on weekdays.

If nobody is home

The driver leaves the flowers somewhere sheltered, out of sun and wind, and rings the sender if there is any doubt about the address or the spot. A phone number for the recipient helps here, so add one at checkout. Our fresh flower care guide covers what to do once they are inside.

Rest homes, schools, workplaces and funeral homes

We deliver to all of these regularly. For a rest home, tell us the resident’s wing or room if you know it. For a school, tell us whether the flowers are for a staff member or a student so we go to the right office. For a funeral, give us the service time and venue and we work to it; see funeral and sympathy flowers.

Flowers that travel well

Flower boxes and posy boxes sit in their own water, so they can wait on a doorstep or a reception desk without wilting. For a workplace or a rest home they are the safest choice. A wrapped bouquet is best when someone will be there to put it in a vase.
